El sábado 17 de noviembre de 2012, La Cámara Argentina de Productoras Independientes de Televisión (CAPIT) entregó los premios TATO a la excelencia televisiva correspondientes al mencionado año. Estuvieron presentes Mirtha Legrand, Adrián Suar, Nancy Dupláa, Viviana Canosa, Flor de la V, Griselda Siciliani, Marley, Celeste Cid, Luciano Castro, Daniel Hendler, Jorge Lanata, Verónica Lozano, Beto Casella y Juan José Campanella, entre otras grandes figuras de la televisión argentina.
El gran ganador de la noche fue “Graduados” con diez estatuillas, “El Hombre de tu vida” fue galardonado con cinco y “La Voz Argentina”, cuatro premios.
Los premios se entregaron frente a escribano público. La ceremonia se realizó en el Hotel Sheraton y la conducción estuvo a cargo de Mariana Fabbiani.
Acerca de los premios
El premio busca promover y destacar las producciones que dignifican un medio tan importante para la vida cultural de nuestro país y que la industria destaque año a año las expresiones más sobresalientes en los distintos rubros.
Los ganadores fueron seleccionados por un jurado compuesto por 1.600 profesionales de la industria de la televisión argentina, incluyendo actores, autores, directores, productores y directivos de canales y productoras de televisión. Esta característica hace de los premios Tato una premiación genuina con un importante valor agregado: los ganadores son elegidos por personas del hacer televisivo con la mirada puesta en la excelencia y con el objetivo de exaltar los valores cualitativos. De este modo, CAPIT se propone destacar a quienes honran la televisión y construir referentes claros que hicieron historia, construyen presente y clarifican metas a seguir de cara al futuro.
